Baba Toloji Cultural Institute

Babá Toloji Cultural Institute
Built over four decades through the personal efforts of Luiz Antônio Castro de Jesus, a Bahian and an honorary citizen of Campinas since 1999, the Babá Toloji Cultural Institute today has one of the largest collections of African art in the country. Comprising around 5,000 pieces including sculptures, paintings, totems, vases, ornaments, necklaces, etc., largely sourced from countries in Africa such as Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Benin, Ghana, Mali, Gabon and others.

Since 2014, we have photographed the institute's collection and events and from 2015 to 2018 we have taken over executive production of its activities in celebration of its 40th anniversary in 2016.
